Reduce Time
Modular construction reduces project time significantly.
Unit designs that are replicable will reduce design and permitting time. But, the big savings is construction time, due to simultaneity and industrial design thinking. The foundation and site preparation occur at the same time as unit construction. Units are more rapid to construct in a factory setting. Modular construction time can be reduced 35-50% from conventional site-built construction.
Additional revenue from earlier occupancy will be possible due to design, permitting and construction time savings. Construction financing fees will also be reduced. Subsequent similar modular projects with similar teams will probably take less time than their predecessor.
